Media Mangy joins the Recording Academy for the 61st Grammy Award Ceremony.

Wednesday, February 12, 2019  – Los Angeles, Calif. – Media Mangy joins the Recording Academy for the 61st Grammy Award Ceremony. With one of the most prestigious events in Music now wrapped up, it’s time to look back at some of the most memorable moments and wins of the 2019’s Grammy Awards. Held in Los Angeles, hundreds of the biggest names in music gathered together and celebrated dozens of the most unforgettable moments in music of 2018. From Childish Gambino’s “Best Music Video” win to Cardi B’s burlesque performance it was a night to remember.


This year’s Grammy’s was sure to be one to impress. The star-studded lineup saw artists such as Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Korean Pop group sensation BTS, and even former first lady Michelle Obama attend the nights’ awards. This star-studded lineup was dressed in jaw-dropping attire, wearing the biggest names in fashion. Some of the best dressed and most unforgettable outfits were worn by Cardi B, who hit the red carpet in a vintage Thierry Mugler haute couture dress, the elegant pop-star Camila Cabello, and Janelle Monáe undeniably stole the show with their outfits.


Some of the best moments of the night were the incredible performances that were held. Camila Cabello, Ricky Martin, and Ozuna opened the show with a Latin-inspired performance, a style very different from Cardi B, who took the stage and gave a classical burlesque-inspired performance. In celebration of her widely successful year, Cardi B didn’t go short of giving an even more ground-breaking performance. It was a night of tribute as Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Kacey Musgraves gave a soulful Dolly Parton tribute. The night also saw a tribute as Yolanda Adams, Fantasia, and Andra Day gave a touching tribute in remembrance of the late singer Aretha Franklin who passed in August of 2018. On a completely different note from their moving performance, breakthrough singer Dua Lipa gave a very electrifying and enticing performance that switch the energy of the show. With other performances by Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, and H.E.R, the night’s performances were breath- taking and fit for the stars.


Dozens of artists, arrangers, art directors, and musical engineers scored a win. The categories were tight, with Drake, Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, Kendrick Lamar, and more nominated for the Record Of The Year. However, Childish Gambino took the award home and three other wins for the groundbreaking single “This is America.” Other artists also went home with their handfuls such as breakthrough artist Dua Lipa, who took home a win for the Best dance recording and Best New Artist. Lady Gaga also scored a win for Best Pop Solo Performance, with the song Joanne, and the best pop duo award along with Bradley Cooper for the song Shallow.

Other artists such as Ariana Grande, Cardi B, H.E.R, and the Carters received an award. Cardi B made history as the first female solo rap artist to win a rap album Grammy, for her album INVASION OF PRIVACY. Dozens of others artists took home a win in this years 2019, making it yet another incredible and historic night in music.
